After collaborating with some of the most respected gunsmiths and manufacturers of the firearms industry, SilencerCo enriches the Summit program with an SSVi™ signed project.
“The HK® VP9® is an ergonomically-friendly yet classically-German pistol that combines comfort with utilitarianism. When Damon Young from SSVi™ first got his hands on one, this death metal drummer turned artisan knew he had to make it his own. The SSVi Signature Series VP9 quickly became one of their most iconic modification packages, with the lines of the VP9 lending themselves seamlessly to SSVi’s recognizable style.
SilencerCo teamed up with the self-proclaimed Modern Day Mjolnir to create one of the most iconic Summit packages to date. Not only does it feature hand crafted customization by SSVi and no-two-alike finishing by Blowndeadline – this package also includes a silencer that you can’t buy anywhere else: the Osprey 9K.

Striker fired pistols are becoming an important segment worldwide for the Military & Law Enforcement sector. The Beretta APX, utilizing a removable, serialized chassis frame, can be easily modified with a replaceable grip frame housing and is simple to disassemble and maintain. The lightweight frame housing is made of fiberglass reinforced technopolymer.
The APX’s extremely low profile and snag free design make it easy to carry and draw from a holster. Ease of use was the key driver in the development of the APX. A slide catch lever is located on both sides of the frame. The operating/locking system is based on a tilt-barrel, locked breech. Beretta APX pistols have a unique feature that allows the user to deactivate the internal striker mechanism prior to disassembly. This means the pistol can be field stripped without pulling the trigger.
The Trigger Safety stops the trigger from traveling rearward through inertia, in the event the pistol is dropped. When the trigger is intentionally pulled, the Trigger Safety is instantly deactivated. Frame safety, magazine safety, and a loaded chamber indicator are available on request. To accommodate right or left-handed use, the APX’s magazine release button can be easily reversed.
The high-definition 3-dot sight system is designed for quick target acquisition. The new sight system, patented by Beretta, allows the user to adjust both front and rear sights. The sights can be removed for replacement with other types of sights. Thanks to a newly patented modular system, the pistol adapts to different hand sizes with interchangeable back-straps of different thickness and configuration for individualized performance. The pistol comes with a standard Picatinny rail (MIL STD 1913) under the barrel.
The APX should be officially announced for the US market at the NRA Show.

At SHOT Show 2017, Trijicon displayed the new optics for this year: the new MRO Patrol, the new AccuPower 1-8, the new MGRS and the line of Thermal optics.
The new Trijicon MRO Patrol is a modified version of the MRO red dot sight. It features an objective cover and a anti-reflective device and comes from the factory with an ocular lens cover.
AccuPower 1-8 x 28
The new Trijicon AccuPower is a versatile variable low power optic with a first focal plane reticle. The 1 power setting is a true 1x and allows the user to engage the target with both eyes open. The clarity of the optic combined with the high power of 8x allows for very accurate engagements even at distance. The optic’s reticle and adjustments are available both in MIL and MOA.
MGRS (Machine Gun Reflex Sight)
The Trijicon MGRS is designed to be mounted on 249, 240, M134 or on the “Ma Deuce”. I features a very large (both in width and height) 1 x obejective lens which provides and extremely wide field of view. To the MGRS there can be attached a flippable magnified optic.
Trijicon New Thermal Optics
2016 has been a very big year for thermal optics; the price has decreased and the technologies become more compact, lightweight and reliable. 2017 seems to also be a very promising year for the thermal optic segment of the tactical/hunting market with the entry of big players such as Trijicon and other competitors. Trijicon has displayed on the show’s floor some products, showing the interested in pursuing both the Clip-On and the Standalone segments.
CZ released a new 9mm striker fired pistol with a similar design to the previous double action P07. The P10-C fits between the full-size and the compact size and holds 15 rounds.
CZ seems to have taken inspiration from the modifications that users did to their pistols, from the stippling job on the frame to the front serrations and cuts on the slide and the use of night sights. The trigger is very crisp and light with a “dynamic duty” feel to it and the reset is extremely short.
At SHOT Show Daniel Defense displayed their new V7 rifle line for 2017. They have added three variants of the DDM4 V7 (which was introduced to the market last year at SHOT): the shorter V7 S, the lighter V7 LW and the competition-focused V7 PRO . We also had a chance to try them at the range events.
The V7s is 11.5″ barrel SBR chambered in 223. It features a shorter version of the Daniel Defense V7 M-Lok handguard.
Very similar to the DDM4V7, the LightWeight version features a lighter and slimmer barrel profile but still keeps the 16″ lenght of ve standard V7.
The DDM4V7 Pro is a longer 18″ barrel rifle. The V7 Pro comes standard with a heavier barrel profile and a muzzle device that delivers an extremely flat and almost recoil-less shooting experience.
Smith & Wesson as implemented some changes and improvements in the latest iteration of their M&P pistol.
After years of success with their M&P model, Smith & Wesson has collected a lot of feedback from the field.

Steiner has released images for the newest addition to their tactical and military line of weapon optics. The newest addition is a no-magnification RDS with a wide field of view, the R1X.
Together with the R1X Steiner has released images of the R1X-L, a variant that incorporates RDS and laser in one single device. This design will allow the user not only to simplify the zeroing of the rifle, but also slim down the profile of the rifle by not having a laser device mounted on the hand-guard of the rifle. The use of short barrel rifles in close quarters usually compromises the ability of the operator to comfortably configure light and lasers on the weapon, the fact that Steiner has integrated two key components in one single device provides more flexibility to the user.
The DBAL-PL incorporates four low-light/no-light elements in one single compact device: 400 Lumen white light, Green visible laser, IR laser and IR illuminator. The two switches allow to engage either white light and visible laser or IR illuminator and IR laser. The compact package is designed to fit on a sidearm.
(Also notice the new Beretta APX, the newest striker-fired pistol chambered in 9mm from the Italian manufacturer)
Similar in design to the DBAL-PL the Steiner SBAL-PL features a 500 Lumen white light and a green visible laser.
