SHOT 2020 | Team Wendy
We first saw the new helmet cover at SOFIC 2019 but now they are officially available for all helmets (Ballistic, Carbon and LTP) for models with both Rail 2.0 and Rail 3.0. Covers are available in Black, Grey, Coyote, Ranger Green, Multicam and Multicam Alpine.
Also officially available is the All-Terrain Mandible (non ballistic). This accessory can be now mounted to any helmet (Ballistic, Carbon and LTP) that features a Rail 3.0 set-up.
This non-ballistic version is an item in which a lot of teams have been really interested in, especially in Europe. A review of the All-Terrain Mandible will be online in the next few months.
Attachment of Ops Core AMP Headset to Team Wendy Helmets
After winning the SOCOM contract the AMP Comms headsets have become ubiquitous and many teams have already fielded Team Wendy Ballistic SL helmets. This accessory is designed to seamlessly integrate the two systems.
CLOUDLINE™ SYSTEM
This drop-in liner, named CloudLine™ for its unique comfort grade, features the softest Team Wendy patented Zorbium® foam to-date, used in strategically placed hexagon-shaped comfort pads designed to prevent hot spots while maintaining protection. Furthermore, the exceptionally comfortable liner is optimized for the widest range of ground combat helmets on the market. Previous Team Wendy drop-in liners were developed around specs of the standard ACH/ECH helmets, while CloudLine is designed to fit a broader range of helmets, including those used throughout special operations communities.
- Three impact liner pads (front, crown, rear)
- Four thick hexagon-shaped Cloud pads
- Seven soft comfort pads in various shapes and sizes
- Ten Velcro® brand hook disks
Study on Traumatic Brain Injury
Team Wendy has been selected as part of an academic research program for developing new strategies for detecting impacts and inertial forces that may result too high and have the risk of causing TBI. This research will be followed by the development of new technology intended to protect the user more from impacts that could potentially lead to TBI.

MODULAR ABDOMINAL POUCH (M.A.P.)
This pouch allows to carry additional gear while extending the ballistic coverage through a ballistic plate insert. The pouch opens frontwards and is secured by retention cord, for not losing the content of the pouch.
The applications of this pouch can go from holding breaching equipment to extra ammo but it’s main intended application is medical.
SHOT Show 2019 | Gerber: New Products
FASTBALL
The Gerber Fastball is an EDC pocket-freindly folding knife, made in America in the Portland, OR facility.
Material-wise the blade is made of S30V steel and the handle is made of anodized aluminum.
The design of the Fastball is very aesthetically pleasing with a slick and minimalist look. The colors are very pleasing too, the stone wash finish is appropriate to the targeted user along with its other main features: stylish, minimalist, practical, efficient, USA made.
With the implementation of the B.O.S.S. Technology with two ball bearings, Gerber has rendered the Fastball a pleasure to open and operate.
the detent ball, has a very positive feedback. The best way to describe it, especially if you have attended SHOT 2019, is to compare it to the Geissele Posi-Lock safety mechanism. This means that the blade doesn’t remain halfway open and always end its travel ,engaging the locking mechanism, making this knife extremely safe for one hand use.
We hope to see this technology slowly being applied to other existing models of the Gerber line.
The size and the shape are great for both every day carry and use.
First Line Equipment |FROG.PRO Operator Belt and Pouches
The use of modular tactical load bearing belts has consistently grown in the past decade. The influence of special operations in tactical training and shooting techniques has brought a very versatile tool in the hands of many users. What is typically referred to as “first line” is, in fact, the primary layer on top of which the users equips himself. This terminology has been applied to professions in which there is a multi-level approach to equipment. In almost all cases the first line is the first to be applied before heading out of the door and the last to be taken off. Different professions require a multi line system for different purposes: Law Enforcement usually add a second-line (chest rig/PC) for special purposes while using the first line (belt) as the main source, on the other hand we usually see the opposite with military applications, in which the belt mounted equipment is a backup for the plate carrier. There are exceptions to this in both professions, for example we see often the positioning of the magazine designated for speed/emergency reloads placed on the belt at the 9 o’clock.

The Sheath
This belt features a retractable 4000 lbs Kevlar lanyard with Dyneema stitching. The thin profile of the belt allows the belt to be worn through the belt loops of most combat pants, for a safe use even when leg harnesses are not worn.
Team Wendy and Ops Core Helmet Skins
MATBOCK Skins are a multi-layer adhesive/fabric laminate designed to give the user the ability to camouflage any surface desired. The Skins are waterproof and oil resistant, can be reused multiple times and are certified Near IR Compliant.
LIFT Ladder + Carbon Poles
S-LIFT + Carbon Poles
At 6.5 feet long, the stretcher is long enough to accommodate all operators and has a maximum carrying capacity of 400 lbs for both the operator and his/her gear. The stretcher has 5 handles per side to give each team a multitude of configurations for carrying a downed man. When paired with the Combat Carbon Poles (sold separately), you get the lightest semi-rigid expedient medical litter / stretcher available at only 3.5 lbs total weight. Combat Carbon Poles found here
Additionally, the litter collapses and zips together to form an essential multipurpose lightweight bag for operators to collect items such as Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE) Material or gear from a downed man. The bag is augmented with a single adjustable strap for easy carry when loaded, a drawstring to secure the bag contents, and is small enough to fold up and be stored in a cargo pocket.
